DHAKA: On Monday,
Bangladesh called the unoccupied batsman Mahmudul Hasan and the pace bowler
Rejaur Rahman to its squad for the opening Test of a series of two games
against Pakistan, which begins on November 26th in Chittagong.
21-year-old U19 world championMahmudul was given a spot on the testing squad
because of a promising start to his top-notch career, which spanned hundreds in
a row in the last two rounds of the National Cricket League, said Chief
Returning Officer Minhajul Abedin.
Minhajul said that 22-year-old fast bowler Rejaur, who has represented the
BCB high performance and emerging teams, has also had a reputation for strong
performance in top-notch cricket, where he has won 33 wickets in 10 games.
All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has also been
added to the squad, but his fitness will be assessed after a hamstring injury
before he is considered for the first test, Minhajul said.
The second test starts on
December 4th in Dhaka.
Pakistan won the previous
T20 series of three games 3-0.
