ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Thursday said a shortcoming has been accounted for in a worldwide submarine weblink yet substitute measures to offer continuous support to clients have been taken.
As indicated by the PTA, a shortcoming has been accounted for in the worldwide submarine link, SMW4, worked by PTCL (Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd), in the Indian Ocean, because of which a few web clients might encounter minimized paces during top hours.
"Work is in progress to completely reestablish internet providers at the earliest. PTA is checking the circumstance and will keep on refreshing on it,"
An issue that impacted the web speeds in the nation was last revealed in December after which the PTCL began to move web traffic to different links.
PTCL gave an assertion saying that courses of action had been made for "substitute transmission capacity".
"In the following, not many days, extra data transfer capacity will be added," the assertion said.
In this period, web paces will be "marginally impacted", the assertion cautioned clients.
South East Asia-Middle East-Western Europe 4 (SEA-ME-WE 4) is an optical fiber submarine correspondences link framework that conveys media communications between Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Egypt, Italy, Tunisia, Algeria, and France.
